Dr. Cao Xinyu is a professor in the School of Public Affairs of the University of Minnesota and a Pengcheng visiting scholar in Peking University ShenZhen Graduate School (PKUSZ). His research fields include the interaction between land use and transportation, the impact of telecommunications technology on traffic behavior and satisfaction analysis. He has published more than 90 SCI/SSCI papers. His papers have been cited in Google for over 7400 times and H index reaches 38. Cao Xinyu also serves as an editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part D. He got Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the School of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University, and Master's degree from the Department of Statistics and Doctor's degree from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Davis (UC Davis).
